A different kind of teaching environment
Resonate is a music school and recording studio in Edmonton where lessons, recording, and real music-making happen under one roof. Many of our teachers are booked close to full, and the roster grows in rounds a few times a year as demand fills it.
Who we're looking for
We hire in rounds a few times a year. Strong applications stay on file, and when the right spot opens we reach out. All instruments welcome.
- Musicians who are actively playing, writing, or performing.
- Comfort in contemporary styles, from pop and rock to jazz, R&B, and songwriting, alongside solid fundamentals.
- Teaching instincts that adapt to the student in front of you.
- Ease with people: kids, teens, adults, and the parents in the hallway.
Weekend availability is always especially valuable here.
Strong fundamentals matter here, but a rigid, exam-first approach usually isn't the right fit. The overall experience a student has in the room matters just as much.
More than a lesson room
Lessons here are not isolated from the rest of music-making. Resonate also includes a recording studio, regular performance opportunities, and a community of working musicians. For the right teacher, it's a more complete place to work.
