A different kind of teaching environment

Resonate is a music school and recording studio in Edmonton where lessons, recording, and real music-making happen under one roof. Many schedules across our current roster are already close to full. We're now opening up space for the right teachers to join the roster.

Who we're looking for

We're primarily looking for teachers who are musically current, strong with people, and comfortable working in a contemporary lesson environment.

• Contemporary music backgrounds
• Jazz, pop, rock, alternative, songwriting, or production-friendly instincts
• Able to teach kids, teens, and adults
• Warm, clear communicators
• Active musicians, performers, or creators
• People who can balance structure with flexibility

Teachers who come from a purely rigid, exam-first approach often aren't the best fit here. We do value strong fundamentals, but the overall experience matters just as much.

What this environment supports

Resonate is built around the idea that music belongs in people's lives. Lessons here are not isolated from the rest of music-making. Students are learning in an environment that also includes recording, collaboration, performance, and working musicians. For the right teacher, that creates a more engaging and more complete place to teach.
